What are the various types of Japanese scripts?
Japanese consists of three different scripts - Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana. You can see examples of the different scripts and their usage on our page about Japanese writing.

Are the symbols suitable for tattoos?
Definitely. Each download includes a stencil outline version of the symbols, which is the preferred format for use by tattoo artists.

What format will I receive the file in?
Downloads are provided in PDF format, you will require the free Adobe Reader to view and print them. However, many people already have this software installed on their computer.

Can I resize the downloaded files?
Yes, they can easily be resized by following our guide to resizing your Japanese symbols.

What payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard or PayPal. A PayPal account is not required for credit card payment - at payment simply select 'buy as a guest' and you can then use your card details.

No, designs are provided for non-commercial use only and may not be redistributed or on-sold.

Do you sell hand-brushed Japanese calligraphy?
Sorry, we no longer sell physical hand-brushed artworks. However the solid version included in each download is perfect for printing out using your own printer onto whatever paper you prefer.
